在電腦的虛擬空間裡把Audi R8用三維立體技術再現後,利用電腦在R8上註水,而水的流動由物理引擎計算模擬形成瀑布。
把R8當作岩石而模擬形成的瀑布,直接投影在實在的R8上的電子藝術作品。

 

水用無數水粒子的連續體來表現,接著計算粒子之間的相互作用,將這些水流經由物理引擎模擬調整為正確而擬真的流水活動。

 

然後在所有的水粒子之中隨機挑選出0.1%的水粒子,根據這些水粒子的舉動在空間中描繪出線。而這些「線的集合」就形成了本作品中的瀑布。

 

也就是說,在這些無數的線的背後,有著數量超過它們本身1000倍以上的水粒子存在,並且藉著整體之間的交互作用來決定線的曲線性質。

 

這麼一來這些在三次元空間裡被立體描繪出的瀑布,就能夠依照我們所理解的日本祖先們對空間認識的理論結構化為一個影像作品。

 

這次運用FHD(full high definition)的7倍解析度的7K解析,把這一影像作品的及其細微的部分也完美的體現出來。Projection mapping of a waterfall simulation onto an Audi R8. The simulation of the waterfall was created by calculating the movement of water as it was allowed to fall on a 3D model of an Audi R8 in a virtual computer environment. With the R8 like a rock, the waterfall simulation is projected onto a real R8 for this projection mapping art work.

 

The water is expressed as continuum of hundreds of thousand of water particles that flow in accordance with how the computer calculates the interaction of the particles.
Once an accurate water flow simulation has been constructed 0.1% of the water particles are selected and lines drawn in relation to them. The waterfall is expressed as the combination of these lines. Behind the lines exist thousands of water particles and the curve of the lines drawn depends on their overall interaction.
The waterfall video art work is created in 3D space and uses what we consider to be the logic structure of spatial recognition of our Japanese Ancestors.
This art work is Seven times the resolution of FHD (Full high Definition). The high resolution allows for the extreme detail of the work.
